I sometimes have to rescue next doors honey bees from our birdbaths. They can appear to be on the verge of expiring but 2 seconds on dry land and they are fully recovered. Remarkable really.

well on the bright side, they seem to have put aside their differences after the cold bath!

I was expecting them to immediately start on each other as soon as they were dried out!

my favorite thing about watching an insect groom itself is when theyre scraping down their antennae and then they release them and they just boing and spring back up

I’ve fished bees out of my swimming pool, and they sting me every time. You must be a bee-whisperer.

This is really surprising! I’ve never been stung.

I definitely envy you there! I still help the bees out of my pool, but I use a tool I have specifically for the occasion.
