I took years of very good art classes. Teachers routinely recommended studying the works of other artists, living and dead. All artists study, copy, emulate and train on the art of the artists who came before us. It’s how we learn and practice. I don’t see a problem with it. AI art is only as good as the judgement, taste and experience (or lack thereof) of the prompter. That’s why some of it is mediocre and some of it is stunning.
