@covidinquiryuk This has all the makings of a major scandal of government mismanagement (and worse) on an historic scale… @BBCNews @itvnews @SkyNews where’s the coverage on this…?

@E_catservant @covidinquiryuk Sounds about right. The PM at the time ALSO had NO understanding how government works.

@covidinquiryuk It’s like a a chief engineer being called into a zoom meeting to engage in a discussion about building a bridge only to realise within the first 5 mins no one on the panel has any building experience. Did they fear the experts being too close to the decision making process?

@covidinquiryuk Shockingly disgraceful

@covidinquiryuk This encapsulates the consultancy scam only in this case it had deadly consequences. Overpaid non experts sucking up answers from actual experts and pocketing eye watering daily rates for the privilege. Nice work if you can get it!

@covidinquiryuk Sadly same as it ever was when highly paid consultancy firms are brought in to #NHS.

@covidinquiryuk Appalling waste of money, dangerous and corrupt

@covidinquiryuk so why did @DeloitteUK even accept the work given their lack of experience?

@covidinquiryuk I sincerely hope @covidinquityuk would seriously seek clear answers why these external consultants were engaged, what skill and expertise they had at the time of engagement and how much they costed the taxpayers during the COVID period

@covidinquiryuk Expert consultants hired at huge fees to rule on things they had no idea about . You could not make it up.
