Yes, there had been a couple of down years but all this talk was completely unfair. The team had just been on a run of 5 straight playoff appearances and a couple division titles. They were an AD injury away from a likely SB & MB had just spent big on Reader. 🙄

People ask me why I don’t watch any shows anymore. Exhibit A. I’ve never in my 44 years ever heard people talking about a franchise like that.

Look, I love the Bengals, but at the time it’s hard to argue most of that wasn’t fair criticism. He’s changed a lot about the culture of this franchise, and it’s wonderful. Most of the stuff they were saying, so were we.

I wasn’t saying Miami was a better spot for him. No “we” about that.
