He says he could never imagine calling for violence against political opponents or their children. "Never forget, someone who thinks differently than you politically has given the last full measure of devotion in this remarkable country. That has always struck with me. In other words, we have big debates about big ideas. Scalia said, "I may disagree vehemently on ideas. I may attack ideas. I'm not gonna attack people."
