@Haaland_sholla And how about the floods in Dubai, was it because of poor drainage or heavy rains.

@Haaland_sholla We blame heavy rains. We just have to be cautious and be prepared. In the meantime you can get these shoe covers to ensure your shoes stay dry. 0705742227

This was today on Samora Machel Avenue, it was flooded and cars had to use footpaths to navigate around the dangerously flooded road. Roads flood during rain due to not only heavy rainfall, but due to poor drainage systems. When rainwater cannot drain efficiently, it accumulates on the road surface leading to flooding like what happens in Harare each time there is a bit of rain. The money meant to maintain roads and drainage is ruthlessly looted by corrupt political elites. It only takes a week away from Zimbabwe for one to see how backward we have become in dealing with simple things like public road drainage. This needs to be fixed, it has become a national embarrassment each time it rains, these are simple things. How can leaders pretend to be able to run a country when they can’t fix such small things like drainage? Basic things like poor drainage can have a significant impact on citizen daily life. Addressing these problems requires effective governance, proper allocation of resources, and a commitment to infrastructure maintenance. Advocating for improved infrastructure maintenance and holding leaders accountable for public services are not crimes, these are essential steps in any modern society. Massive public awareness campaigns and a united demand for change will contribute to the required improvements, political elites don’t respond to silence! We need to speak out with ONE voice! This can’t carry on each time there is a little rainfall whilst we watch public funds meant to fix this being looted!
