Thin Lizzy. “Emerald.” 1976. This lineup: Scott Gorham, Brian Robertson, Brian Downey and the legendary Phil Lynott — in all that duel guitar harmony delight 🎶

For the life of me, I will never understand how Lizzy was considered a one hit wonder amongst the general populace. They destroy most of the bands that got more attention than them during that era.

It’s inexplicable — they surely have to rank alongside Purple, Rainbow, and Judas Priest, just from a 70s influential perspective.

I can hear the influence on early Maiden

Lots!

Still no one cooler than Phil. He is sorely missed.

Talk about an eargasm 🤘🏼

Perfection.

My gawd that's good.

That really is a delight! They really were Maiden before Maiden. Great tone, great melodies, just a great band! Awesome seeing this!

I guess it might be due to his relatively limited output -, and lynotts reluctance to give him more credits? But Robertson never gets enough kudos as a guitarist for me. Up there with the best wah players ever. And a bit EVH like - he could play guitar, keys, drums and cello!

Hard agree 🤝
