#ThinLizzy. “Cowboy Song.” 1978. Sydney Opera House. The absolute swagger of Phil Lynott was something to behold. Suave, sophisticated. Didn’t need to run around on stage. For sure, Gorham & Moore were perfect wingmen but Phil was to Thin Lizzy what Lemmy was to Motörhead. Class.

No one ever looked cooler wielding a bass than Phil.

Studded guitar strap, white dress shirt, black tie… the man was the essence of cool

@HarrySword Gary Moore’s solo at this concert is off the charts. Surprised that the melody maker doesn’t melt in his hands, and Waltzing Mathilda was a nice touch

Absolutely love this band. Funny I got into as the broke up. I bought Life/Live when it came out and worked backwards. Gary Moore is just an absolute beast.

Phil should receive way more accolades and recognition than he does. He was such a terrific front man and truly one in a million.🤘😎🎸
