Things got heated when a Middle Eastern man confronted protesters who were supporting the Islamic Regime of Iran at City Hall in Philadelphia. The man approached the protesters and asked why they weren’t speaking for the 50 thousand plus Iranians that lost their lives at the hand of the... Islamic Regime and the Ayatollah. He went further, calling the protesters fake activists for not standing for the women of Iran who have been victimized by the regime’s Islamic tyranny. He called their protesting performative and a result of being guilty about not having anything better to do in life. They responded by harassing and surrounding him in an attempt to silence him. At one point, they had him completely surrounded and he was unable to move. Frank Scales got to ask the man what he meant when he called the protesters spoiled Americans. He said that America is the most ‘materially successful country in the world’ and that the people protesting have never been to the Middle East and are lucky to live in America. Thoughts?show more

These protestors are little more than bullying thugs. They are either completely ignorant about the truth of the regime in Iran, or they do know and support a repressive regime that murders its own citizens in vast numbers and treats women as property.

While covering a Pro-IRANIAN REGIME demonstration in Philadelphia (no one had an Iranian flag, unsurprisingly), a protester defending the Islamic Regime of Iran decided to spit on Frank Scales while others tried to impede his movement. A Philadelphia Police Civil Affairs officer was right there to witness the entire thing, but instead of pursuing the assailant, the cop decided to argue with Frank. The cop told him to “go over there” where he wouldn’t be able to document the protest. He complied with the officer and later approached him to see if he found who spit on him. The officer claimed he was not over there to witness it. An outright lie. He went on to argue that if Frank wasn’t in the middle of the protest he wouldn’t have gotten spit on. What he failed to mention was that he was actually not in the middle of the protest. He was 10 feet away from the demonstration trying to move away from people following him when he got spit on. Why aren’t the Civil Affairs Officers in Philadelphia upholding citizen’s rights to move freely without being spit on?

A weak, fragmented Qajar state, one in which women could not leave the house without a man. One in which Iran’s internal affairs were completely controlled by outsiders. One in which foreign armies seized our lands to feed their troops while half our population died of famine. A country without an army, without national infrastructure, without sovereignty over its own resources. And I can go on, and on, and on. In return, we Iranians repaid their blood, sweat, and tears with one of the greatest treacheries imaginable in modern history. His grandfather, arguably one of the greatest men in Iran’s history, his tomb was levelled to the ground. His father was forced to leave the country he loved more than anything in the world. One could say it was not his illness that killed him, but the knife we put in his back, the betrayal of a nation he had dedicated his life to. Reza Pahlavi’s friends and family who remained in Iran were murdered, one by one, at the hands of the regime WE enabled. An entire generation around him was hunted, imprisoned, executed, or driven into exile. His sister and brother, unable to bear the weight of exile and the destruction of everything they had known, took their own lives. Reza Pahlavi has the money. He could have chosen a quiet life, a life of comfort and distance, far from the insults, the threats, the endless character assassination. The son of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi has called on journalists, lawyers, and human rights activists to stand with the Iranian people, saying this is what his mother would do if she were free.
