🚨 Think $10 diesel is impossible? Think again. As the predictable fallout from the war America foolishly chose to start against Iran continues to threaten global supply chains, Chris Martenson (Chris Martenson) breaks down why fuel prices are about to go much higher. $10 Fuel Is Already Here: "Germany...

@chrismartenson I would GLADLY stop paying for diesel and aviation fuel for the War Machine. The War Machine caused this crisis and is only making matters worse by continuing to burn up diesel and aviation fuel.

You guys are just spewing forth a massive stream of nonsense. Diesel prices and gasoline prices are abnormally high compared to oil prices. This is not Trump's fault, this is not the fault of the US/Israeli attack on Iran. The cause of this lies with the assault on refining capacities by actors other than the US/Israeli. They are the ones causing these issues that can't be as easily resolved as switching around some oil. Blaming Trump for starting a war Iran pretty much asked for with their demands to retain at a minimum enough enriched uranium to make 13 bombs, is simply misguided and worse dishonest.

@chrismartenson Americans are paying hundreds of billions more in fuel because of Israel. Plus American military bases have suffered 1 trillion in damages since the war with iran started. The jews are costing Americans trillions for their own gain. Americans gain nothing if iran falls

👈 Debate between Anna Kasparian @AnaKasparian and Cenk Uygur @cenkuygur on the Axios interview with Hasan Piker @hasanthehun ✅ #Anna_Kasparian: 🔺 Israel is a terrorist regime, and American, Israeli, and al-Qaeda terrorism are equally illegitimate. 🔺 Obama armed #al-Qaeda_in_Syria, and in the White House Trump washed the #bloodied_body_of_an_al-Qaeda_leader in perfume. 🔺 I love America and Americans and I am proud of that citizenship; but I loathe the government, Congress above all. A majority of Americans did not want war with Iran; yet the Trump administration went to war with Iran for Israel. ✅ #Cenk_Uygur: 🔺Axios laid a trap to turn Hasan Piker’s words into a weapon against #Abdulrahman_El-Sayed. 🔺 El-Sayed’s victory in Michigan is the most important non-presidential election of this generation. If he wins, the myth that “a progressive populist cannot win a general election” is broken and the odds in 2028 rise. If he loses, Schumer and Jeffries—a “cancer in the party” and a loyal opposition for war and hundreds of billions for Israel—return, and Ossoff, Buttigieg, or Newsom is forced through as the corporate Democrat. 🔺 Both treat America’s strike on a school of Iranian girls and the massacre of 150 to 164 of them as an instance of state terrorism, not an exception. ◀️ Read the full debate, in the style of analytic philosophy, here. The Axios interview with Hasan Piker is under this same post.👇👇👇👇

@chrismartenson For $10 diesel to be justified you would need over $300 oil.

@chrismartenson In Germany almost 50% of fuel prices are environmental charges, taxes and on top 19% value added tax.

Wolfers: For nine out of the last 10 presidencies, if you’d said, “How much should we blame the president for what’s going on with the economy right now?” I would have said that the president is just one factor among many. That’s what I would have said nine out of 10 times. This is the 10th time. There’s literally no question about the cause of the current oil price spike. It is that we decided to go to war in Iran on an open-ended, ill-defined mission, and we’re not quite sure what to do. The Iranians took over the Strait of Hormuz, and now the global economy is substantially fractured and global energy markets are in disarray. There’s no question about what caused that. We know that because we actually saw things get a little bit better in June during the ceasefire, but those happy days are behind us. There’s also no question that tariffs are a complete own goal. They’ve led to higher prices paid by Americans. And that, I think, explains why, if you look at the United States compared to our peers in the G7—think of these as other economies that are kind of like, if the U.S. economy had mates, this is who they’d be—comparable large industrialized economies, the United States right now has higher inflation than any of them. We’re number one, but it’s not one of those good number ones. And let me just add: it really does hurt my heart because we know how not to screw things up. Any economics textbook, anyone who’s taken introductory economics, would know that there are large economic costs to going to war. They would know that starting a global trade war in a chaotic and incoherent fashion is all downside and no upside.

CHRIS MARTENSON: DIESEL IS HEADED TO $8–10 A GALLON Chris Martenson is a trained scientist who became an investor and relies strictly on data rather than being guided by wishful thinking. He is currently the most vocal in sounding the alarm regarding oil, diesel and the impending rise in costs, which most players on Wall Street still refuse to factor into their price calculations. THE OIL REALITY HE IS FORCED TO STATE ➡️ Headline crude prices keep getting crushed on Sunday-night “deal” rumors while real products—especially diesel—are already in short supply across the US, Europe, and Asia. ➡️ Brent is trading in the steepest backwardation he has ever seen: you pay $13 more for oil delivered in one month than in six months. That is the market screaming near-term shortage. ➡️ US inventories and the Strategic Petroleum Reserve are at levels not seen since the early 1980s and still falling. THE PRICE THAT ACTUALLY HITS YOUR LIFE ➡️ Diesel is the blood of the physical economy. Trucks, mining equipment, and freight all run on it. ➡️ Martenson now sees no path that avoids $8 to $10 per gallon diesel unless something changes fast. ➡️ That cost does not stay in the fuel tank. It becomes a permanent cost-push input that shows up in every UPS delivery, every grocery shelf, and every commercial real-estate refinance. Twelve days after US and Israeli strikes on Iran, the conflict appears to be heading toward a prolonged and uncertain phase. Did Donald Trump miscalculate Iran’s response? And is Washington now struggling to find a face-saving exit from a war that seems to have no clear endgame? As tensions escalate between Iran, the United States, and Israel, the global economic consequences are becoming increasingly visible. Oil prices have surged and the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical energy shipping routes; has become a major flashpoint. Nearly 90% of India’s imported LPG passes through this route, raising concerns about fuel shortages and rising energy costs. Experts warn that the conflict could trigger one of the worst global energy supply crises in decades. In this episode of India & The World on DeKoder, Senior Journalist Nidhi Razdan speaks with former diplomat Jawed Ashraf and political scientist Christopher Clary to examine: • Did the US misjudge Iran’s military and political resolve? • Why does the war appear to have no clear exit strategy? • How are oil markets and global supply chains being affected? • What does this crisis mean for India’s energy security and diplomacy? Watch the full discussion as we DeKode the geopolitical, economic, and strategic implications of a war that is reshaping global politics. #IranIsraelWar #Trump #Geopolitics #OilCrisis #StraitOfHormuz #IndiaEnergy #MiddleEastConflict #IndiaAndTheWorld #DeKoder #IndiaandTheWorld #IranUS #FuelCrisis #WorldAffairs #Trump #LPGcrisis
