this isnt actually true! the song WAS written for the game (when the reveal trailer dropped) and was one of the two songs magna-fi sent to sega, but who i am was rejected cus crush 40 wrote i am all of me. it was never considered for final boss cus this was pretty early on in dev

The remix All hail shadow is awesome and Who i am is awesome too but my choice would be Never Turn Back, probably does´t fit the story theme but i don´t care

magna-fi my goat!!!! Honestly while using the sonic symphony version of All hail shadow is cool and all, it just doesnt have much sauce on top of reusing the crush 40 vocals from 06.

i’m pretty sure the only reason it wasn’t used was because magna-fi thought it was too good for shadow😭
