The 34-year-old was taken to hospital with a serious injury after the attack on Smallbrook Queensway, close to the Bullring Shopping Centre, shortly before 9pm on Friday. West Midlands Police confirmed she has since died in hospital. Djeison Rafael, 21, who was charged with attempted murder, is expected to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning.
