This administration is lying through their teeth when they say, “no one is denied medical care,” in DHS detention centers. I saw it with my own eyes after visiting California City Detention Facility last month: detainees are living in inhumane conditions without basic medical care. It's unacceptable.

I am appalled after conducting my oversight visit today at MDC Brooklyn and learning more about the conditions of detention. Civil immigration detainees with no criminal records — who should not be in custody of any kind — are being held under the exact same restrictive conditions as criminal defendants. 14 hours locked in cells, rationed phone time, insufficient medical care, and dirty water. This is inhumane and unacceptable. ICE must immediately change these unjust and draconian conditions.

I am deeply concerned about Liam and every child at the Dilley Detention Center. No parent should have to worry about whether their child is eating, getting medical care, or deteriorating in detention. What I saw was alarming — and unacceptable. Liam must be released immediately.

What I saw and heard was horrific: worm-infested food, no access to medical care, no way to connect with their families. Many of the detainees were lawful visa holders, including one 18-year-old who is missing her graduation and prom because she is being held in a cell. This is not America. This is unacceptable, and it has to stop now.

White people, this isn’t ancient history — this is within your living memory. In South Carolina, Black families were denied basic medical care, even dental treatment. Black people couldn’t go to white dentists, so many had to visit veterinarians to get their teeth removed.

They said everybody's getting their medication on time” The media says there is a TB outbreak, he says this happens all the time in prisons and detention centers, but they have processes for that to handle it “The medical program in our facilities immediately take control of that. We got negative pressure rooms, so if we find somebody with TB, they're putting in a negative pressure room so they can't affect the rest of the population. These things are mitigated. We're dealing with this all the time.” Yet again, all Democrats and the media do is lie. It’s all to stir up fake outrage to stop deporting their illegal voters
