"This advanced mark is seriously pissing me off" The advanced mark cannot continue in its current form. It makes no sense whatsoever on so many levels

100% - ridiculous. If you take your play, fluff it or kick a wide, you’ve used it up and the mark is gone

It’s to encourage and reward the long kick pass inside. Not a thing wrong with it

I can’t understand how the player doesn’t even have to call the mark .. he can then go on take a free shot at goal and if it’s wide it gets brought back , bin it

Don't have to watch a w/back with no left foot kick it, he can go short or backwards and restart the game without a shot. Most are contested. It's a brilliant bit of movement for w/back to ghost in behind a defence and PCliff's kicks in were spectacles of their own. Great rule
