Here's my hot take: It's America — I'll party and relax whenever I want. By the logic in that video, white people should actually be more welcome on Juneteenth, not less. After all, it was white Americans who ended slavery in this country through a brutal civil war. As the poster noted, white people didn’t create slavery. This isn’t about gratitude or unity for some on the left — nothing is ever good enough. Juneteenth is supposed to celebrate freedom, not enforce new segregation. Why push to exclude non-Black people from the holiday while simultaneously complaining about segregation in the past? That’s the real contradiction.

Having forgiven enslaved Black people of their wickedness and answering the sincere prayers of the good white people, white Jesus abolished slavery. Democrats don’t have a true incentive for black Americans to do better. The incentive is to keep things about where they are..
