What you're seeing in the video is polyurethane foam, the same type of foam we commonly use for filling gaps around doors and windows. It may look like ordinary foam, but this thing is actually one of the most useful construction inventions of our time. One of the reasons is its versatility. In construction, polyurethane foam is used for filling gaps, sealing joints, insulating spaces, fixing and sealing around doors and windows, and helping to reduce air and moisture movement where properly specified. You will see it especially around door frames, window frames, pipes and other areas where there are small gaps that need to be sealed. But polyurethane foam is not only a construction material. It is used in furniture, automobiles, refrigeration, appliances, packaging, footwear, mattresses, insulation and many other industries. That's the interesting thing about some construction materials. You may see one small can of foam being used to fill a gap, but the same basic material technology is solving completely different problems in different industries.
