This Christmastime, I’d like to focus our scripture today on something that we don’t always focus on—the attendance of angels in our lives.

Dang. This message got me. What a beautiful Christmas message to share with everyone of all faiths. I feel the guidance & protection of angels in my life. I know my ancestors are next to me. I can feel their strength & encouragement even through my imperfections. Which are many!

Excellent message, as always, Elder Holland. I would also point out that the Aaronic Priesthood (and therefore Melchizedek, as well) holds the keys of the ministering of angels. This gives all worthy LDS priesthood holders the authority to call upon angels for help or protection when needed. I have never seen a heavenly angel, but I have called upon them and felt their presence and influence many times.😇 Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁

The ministering of angels is real and more than you know. They are round about you lifting you up, strengthening you, preparing your way to guide you back to God if you let them. “1 And now, behold, my beloved brethren, I suppose that ye ponder somewhat in your hearts concerning that which ye should do after ye have entered in by the way. But, behold, why do ye ponder these things in your hearts? 2 Do ye not remember that I said unto you that after ye had received the Holy Ghost ye could speak with the tongue of angels? And now, how could ye speak with the tongue of angels save it were by the Holy Ghost? 3 Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do. 4 Wherefore, now after I have spoken these words, if ye cannot understand them it will be because ye ask not, neither do ye knock; wherefore, ye are not brought into the light, but must perish in the dark. 5 For behold, again I say unto you that if ye will enter in by the way, and receive the Holy Ghost, it will show unto you all things what ye should do.” 2Ne 32:1-5

Elder Holland, I just love you. Thank you for sharing these insights. It speaks directly to the things I've been pondering and keeping close.

Sister Wendy Nelson quoted at an area women's fireside "the errand of angels is given to women" & explained it to mean that our family and friends who have gone before us stand ready to help us and our kids individually. As righteous women we can call on them.
