I totally agree. Back in the days it was all about highlights and stats and good basketball commentators. Now it’s more about lifestyle, what gives the best hot take and so on. Let’s go back to the old days where sports mattered

More than just espn now too. It’s so many big social media outlets that don’t watch games. It’s how the whole ft narrative got started lol. Clicks > real basketball talk

Two things can be true at once. Yes the media pushes narrative. But we live in a time where reg fans are tweeting real time their feelings and those trends are then talked about on sports shows so it’s going both ways. Which is a counterpoint to okc’s narrative

Only in part tho that’s why I say two things are true. Cuz yea okc’s defense is crazy their depth of talent is crazy and they don’t get highlighted enough for that it’s all just shai shai shai and deflections to j will. So I get his point especially as the vet
