I KNEW it! Less than a minute into this, I immediately knew he was deaf. So glad they found out and are able to adapt for him.🥰

Here is my deaf white love: Bowie

Oh how I love cats, now even more !!

Thats a big stretch 😂

I had an all white deaf cat… They have a recessive gene causing the deafness. Glad you figured it out.

My first cat was deaf, and he was the sweetest little friend I could've wished for. I'll explain this condition here. It's hereditary. In cats, inherited deafness is seen almost exclusively in white coated individuals. The deafness may affect one ear or both ears. Breeding studies have defined the relationship between deafness in white cats and is strongly linked with blue eye colour but not all white cats or white cats with blue eyes are necessarily deaf. The gene has more than one effect: it is responsible for the white coat colour and also for blue eyes and deafness. In a feral situation deaf white cats experience strong negative natural selection pressure as: - They are deaf. - They are intolerant of bright light because of the blue eyes. - They have reduced vision in low light conditions. If your cat is deaf you should avoid letting him outside after dark. Don't worry, they make awesome pets!

My 20-year-old cat went deaf two years ago and her meow is now incredibly loud, too. I think she startles herself sometimes! She’s still very happy though. ♥️

My first cat was deaf too. He was white, just like this one.

ya, once you’ve had a deaf kitty it’s easier to figure out. But I think if they’re born deaf the meows are not like this, it’s only after experiencing life as a hearing cat do their meows turn into “screams’ - b/c they meow for us. (& white cats with different eye colors)
