Appreciate your passion, but I think there’s an important correction needed here. Yes, slavery was horrific, but framing it solely as something “white people” did erases the actual history. Europeans didn’t invade Africa and round up slaves. African warlords, kings, and tribal leaders captured and sold their own people, and still do today. Slavery wasn’t invented by whites, it was a global atrocity long before America existed. In fact, there are still active slave markets in parts of Africa and the Middle East. Where’s the outrage for that? Being proud of your roots is great, but shaming people today for skin color they were born with isn’t justice. It’s just reverse division.
