This dehati behaviour is just too irritating. Cannot imagine to encounter such a family travelling with 2 days of ration & chopping onions tomatoes while discussing what they will eat next. 🤦🏻♂️ But, at the same point I cannot totally blame them due to food quality everywhere.

This is not dehati - it's actually quite good. They are even managing their trash properly. Have plates and are hygienic (Much more than anything else they could've bought). Fully support this. As long as trash disposal is maintained properly.

It is not just about them. You will have difficult times if everyone starts this based on what they eat.

They're not cooking, they're assembling. Cooking is not allowed on Trains. Big difference.

@SiddharthKG7 Why not just make it into a roll or sandwich at home and bring. Just eat the roll/sandwich directly instead of assembly everything in the train

@SiddharthKG7 But when you buy from the hawkers who roam inside the train, they also assemble and make it in front of you. So what's the issue here? They are in full control of ingredients and quality.

@Abhishe46668548 @SiddharthKG7 Indian tourists usually bring their own food along , they hardly spend eating out . Mostly their taste buds have limited exposure. So Indian tourists basically bring limited financial advantage to any place , only generate trash from their plastic plates

@Abhishe46668548 @SiddharthKG7 They were tourists? People also travel for personal work, hometown etc.

Poking nose on other's personal matter is also dehati behavior.

Train is Personal matter?

@socio_tech_ Certainly not. But a reserved seat is a personal space for the duration of journey.

@socio_tech_ Not really.

Wore gloves and caps No literring around, Hygiene was maintain ( yes sound are extremely loud, they need to think about that) And people claiming FAMILIES SHOULD EAT HEALTHY, while most of them prefer processed food Do you know the quality food in Indian railways?

Still a public place where others have to smell your onion cheese. Nahh. Would you fight with someone making a chicken shawarma roll here or not?

@82GOATMCG As if when food is bought in train from pantry or hawkers no smell is released. They are quite clean in their behaviour. Better than eating shit from the train.

@SiddharthKG7 And the counter logic was people making shawarma💀 Guess he forgets the process of MAKING SHAWARMA

Obviously dehatis encourage dehatis & don’t understand the problem. So here is for simpletons. -It is a public space where you cannot chop onions & spread cheese butter. -This place is not hygienic either to open a complete kitchen. -This food is not “cooked”. Just assembled. -guy wearing gloves but notice women cutting veggies and passing the bread after touching everywhere. -there is a difference in packing food for travel and doing all this in trains. Still, I said cannot totally blame them due to food quality everywhere.

Yehi gore karte toh unka thooka hua bhi chaat leta

Sabko apne jaise na samjho 🥰

@AgarwalMeghansh So "dehatis" are "inferior" to you???????????????

Have you gone mad??????????????

The issue is that most leave food bits on the floor and on the seat. Trains are already very dirty and finding food bits is very upsetting.

People just don’t have a concept of public place. “Not our problem once we are done”. This family still looks sensible but there will be people who will be encouraged and someday i will see another dehati making dal tadka on a camp stove.

Indian Male Karen spotted 👆🏻

What's Dehati here? People preparing their own food on a long journey? Not relying on railway catering vendor? Or maintaining hygeine and cleanliness? If they are not creating a mess, littering or causing inconvenience to others, this should be totally fine.

"Dehati behaviour" is travelling with family with tickets and eating hygienic food without literring on train's floor! Am i right, Pazeet?

this family has kept the place clean. this is the best way to travel with family considering overpriced, unhygienic govt food.

Guy using gloves and a hairnet like a boss. They booked that section and they are preparing clean food for themselves. Lady opposite is using a garbage bag. They are together and they are enjoying the journey. Everyone else can shut the fck up. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

I think see any problem here .. they are maintaining hygiene and not littering..

First of all this is not dehati behavior, this is how families used to travel before . Those slow trains , taking home made food , making sandwiches or bhel , getting down at stations and meeting where family members who lived in that city , getting fresh food and tea from them. Today everything is online. No one comes to meet no slow trains more options . Today I live abroad with my family but yet take theplas and aachar and a knife with us . You may have too many food options but not what you can make from your own hand.

so you want silence all around , ppl should glue their eyes to mobile and dont talk to anyone ....I am not surprised number of mentally ill people are increasing day by day due to such loner mindset ...

For all the “dehati” behaviour Indians typically pull off while travelling, this family seems to be quite civilised about it: - They seem to have all the seats in those adjacent rows booked amongst themselves (assuming no other passenger was forcibly shoved out) - They are not being unreasonably loud for a large group - They are handling their food & managing their wastes much better than what the IRCTC catering agencies or pantry boys engaged by them do. - There are no open flames or flammable objects in sight either. Serving or having food on trains or even airplanes for that matter isn’t illegal you know. What am I missing ? Are you sure you are not just engagement-farming while piggybacking on some recent trend ?

Imagine u pull a baddie who makes u do this

Difficult in this economy 😅

They are on their reserved seats, people are allowed to eat on their reserved seats. How does it matter if they are cutting onions or not? If its about just the smell. Someone might claim non-veg food smells really bad so people should not be allowed to eat non-veg food in a train. How does it even make sense? Also why should they buy train food made from toilet water in trains?

If you a solo traveler and your fellow travelers are a Joint Gujju or Marwadi Family' It's a nightmare. Non stop chewing sound, Smell of Food all the time. Non stop Chatters of their family about how bad that Random Bhua/Mami etc are.

Bhai what is Dehati in it. 99% of indian families travel like this.

Sick mentality person have u ever travlled in 3 tier or any class of Indian Railway...if you had you wouldnt have said this...when families go they plan like this...this is how India works...if you have some problems take a stick and put it in your As. and enjoy

As long as they cleanup you don't have to cry Behaving like a ghora is not civilized, it's slavery

they are not dehati, you are white aesthetic worshiping brown sepoy!

If the journey is not fun then what's the point of travelling. If they are not bothering others, not littering, you should have any problem. It's their life, let them live the way they want to live.

If food quality is bad as you say then these junglis should carry pre boxed meals instead of doing this silliness & cringe behavior. People are becoming more n more declassè.

At least they're using that plastic bag as a trash bag instead throwing in the compartment should appreciate them. It's probably a long journey and they needed something so stop overreacting idiot.

Jo pasand na aye, dehati bol do.! Wah bhai!

This isn't dehati. Eating home cooked is always better.

Dehatis don't wear gloves.. they're actually maintaining hygeine here..

As long as they are not making a mess and not disturbing anyone. They can eat whatever they want on their seats.

It appears to be 2nd AC, the family seems to be the only ones occupying the whole coupe, no one else is there, but someone on X is getting outraged by seeing it?

Did you take permission from them to post their video? Privacy breach, Copyright claim and calling them dehati while they have all the rights to eat in train can create problems.

What is dehati in this??? Almost 80% family do this.....toh sab dehati hain???

As long as they don't occupy someone else's seat while doing this and don't make the compartment dirty by throwing trash around, it's all good.

The aunty that is sitting and posting about a healthy sandwich needs to lose 20,000 kg.

Ppl like you have no real life experience of the Indian way of things, just coz guys like you follow a way of living doesn’t make others dehati. The problem with you guys is you have 0 friends or awful friends who have no life. Get a life and leave people alone who don’t bother u
