this drain guy was told they had been having some Plumming issues He rolls up expecting the standard backyard drama—maybe a stubborn grease clog or a minor backup. @IndyBeginsAt220 Flush half a cup of copper sulfate down the toilet twice a year will prevent this. Kills the roots in the pipe, but doesn't harm trees or bushes. I've been doing it for years with my septic tank.

If you have a lot of big forest trees on your property, periodically dump a cup of rock salt into a toilet and flush it. You can get it in big bags in the winter (well in northern states you can). This will keep the roots out of your house drain line.

It fascinates me. I cleared a house drainpipe from the roof gutter years ago after heavy rain - got hold of a massive smelly wet mud/leaf snake of decay that came tumbling down, & then UP & out of the soakaway. Knocked me off my feet, spattered me with rotten egg stink juice. It was great!

I had the same issue 3 years ago, albeit not quite that severe. I had the clay jointed pipe replaced with full PVC, $8k later, my drain works GREAT! No need to worry about roots ever again either.

This guy is using the left hand lane , which is open. There is a mile long backup and everyone is over in the right hand lane. He drives all the way up until he has to merge. Some people are saying what a jerk he is for not getting in line like everyone else, but a great many people are saying that the cars in the right lane merged into one lane too soon and that if they had used the left lane, instead of being a mile backup it would have been a half a mile backup. What’s your take? Do you think he was correct in using the left lane and merging up at the front or should he have merged right and got in line way in the back like everyone else?

This woman lives in an HOA. The back of her yard backs up into an easement that is owned by the HOA. The trees back there are on the easement. She points out that there are fallen branches all over her neighbors yard because of the trees and there were many in her yard as well. So she and her children went and picked up all the branches and sticks in her yard and then she piled them up under the tree. She said since the tree is on the HOA easement, it’s their problem. This man who is a landscaper said you should never build a tree coffin around a tree. He said it ends up making the tree die by restricting the roots and having too much mulch. I never knew they were called "tree coffins". I looked it up and it does say they can be very detrimental to your tree if not done correctly. The pavers can restrict root growth and the mulch shouldn't be too thick or torching the base of the tree. I have seen some pretty nice "tree coffins". I never knew they were bad for your trees. Do you have these around your trees? Did you build one a certain way that allows your tree to flourish? What about the people who cemented their pavers together and in the ground?

This guy in the back coming down the ramp into the parking garage honks his horn at the car in front of him. The car in front of him is waiting for two cars in front of himself to get into the parking garage. The guy at the front of the line is having issues with the parking ticket machine. First this guy in the back honks, then he gets out of his car and stares like that is going to change something. These women arrived at the airport late so they came up with the bright idea of using wheelchairs like they are handicapped so they can cut the lines and still make their flight. Should people who use wheelchairs like this be punished for it? Maybe make them show proof they need one medically would be my answer. A few months back I’ve seen a man walk into Walmart, he was completely able and when he walked into the store, he plopped down onto one of those electric carts for handicapped people. He was just driving around the store talking on the phone. I was walking by a few times, I can tell he was using it just because he didn’t want to walk, not because he couldn’t walk. So the real drama comes in when I’m ready to check out. The store got rid of the huge self check out area and only has 4 now, and the rest are registers they barely have people for. They only had 3 cashiers that day, the line for self checkout was long. So I’m like 15th in line, and I see the guy with the electric cart. Instead of getting in line behind me he drives to the front and cuts everyone in line. Some other customers speak out and remind him the line starts over there and he claimed that he’s handicapped and since he’s in an electric cart he doesn’t have to wait in line. He says it’s the same rule as people in wheel chairs. An attendant had to come up and tell him that’s not the case and he still has to wait in line. He started getting loud and throwing a fit. A manager and officer that happened to be there for something else approaches him and tells him he needs to leave. Maybe it is because he served the state as a police officer. Maybe it is because he had owned and run a business. Maybe because he never was a staffer. Maybe it was because he didn’t come from Liberal royalty in Kooyong. Maybe it was because he was opening doors in new areas, places that had not considered voting Liberal before. Or maybe it was because he didn’t go to the right schools or move in the proper circles… Maybe. It could be because he was effective as an opposition leader. He was indeed shifting the polls and government policy - particularly on the youth crime epidemic plaguing Melbourne. It could even be because he was against “the Voice”, like most of the rest of his state. Maybe because he was against the treaty, that has put the property rights of all Victorians under a cloud. It is possible it was because he is against 100% renewables. Maybe he just wasn’t doing as he was told by the backroom boys - the lobbyists, the hacks and the spivs. It might even be because he knows what a woman is. Possibly some of those things… probably all of them. Because from out here, it looks like Jess Wilson is the solution to all of those ‘problems’. Just another young, inexperienced, former staffer. Just another progressive lady, who will solve the woman problem in the Liberal party, by helping the rest of us define it. Whatever the reason, I am sure the Liberals have just stolen defeat from the jaws of Victory as the inner-city elites that run the show shake their million dollar watches, fists clenched at the voters choosing Teal. As the former Liberal strongholds leave the blue team in their droves, in pursuit of a better brand of champagne socialism, they plant a foot squarely on the throats of the socially conservative and economically aspirational. The Liberals, desperate to chase back what they have lost, install Wilson in a pathetic last-ditch effort to woo them back. Demonstrating they too are happy to put the boot into those less progressive and more aspirational. People that just want to buy a home, pay the power bill, and maybe just run their homes in peace. Labor ran away from them long ago, as they pursued the same anti-Australian, anti-aspirational policies that please the Liberal lobbyists, Teal voters, Green voters, Unions and the Liberal backroom boys. The choice has never been less clear. Go with the progressive socialist that you know, or the progressive socialist that pretends to understand the economy better. The red or the blue, it’s up to you. Or maybe this is the election where the Liberals in Victoria go the way of SA, and WA, as they get packed into a minivan and sent away. One thing is for sure, the minor party and independent vote at the Victorian election will be record breaking, because the major parties are completely absorbed in their own brilliance. Completely wrapped up in themselves, holed up in their lavish offices as the groaning public feel the pain of decades of neglect. I would urge Brad Battin to hold his head up. His treatment by the corrupt and out of touch Victorian Liberal Party is a badge of honour. They are like the robbers he spent much of his career trying to catch. Like thieves in the night they shall slink off into the thickness of the dark. What happened to him today was very ‘modern’ Liberal, but hardly very Australian. I just want Australia back.
