Let me ask you this: If you had people break into the foyer of your home shouting things that were threatening to you and your family, and you hit them with a stick, do you think you "should be charged" and the people who broke into your home "freed"? Would you say that the people breaking into your home were "innocent"? What if these people were pushing through the White House doors to get to Trump? If the answer is 'no,' then please be quiet.

🇵🇸 🇬🇧 🇮🇱 This man is yelling at Pro-Palestinian protesters, telling them they are "blind by hate", and that they are protesting because it is "fashionable", and has become "an excuse to hate Jews." While this may apply to some, it definitely does not apply to all who protest in support of the Palestinian cause. Many protesters in any protest will have extreme views and agendas, including Pro-Palestinian protesters promoting hatred, however this does not reflect ALL protesters. Most protesters are advocating for aid to civilians, the protection of the innocent, and improvements to the lives of Palestinians. These are noble causes to fight for. A Pro-Palestinian protester is not pro-Hamas. A Pro-Israeli protester is not anti-Palestinian.

If a person lives in a tent but also has their own apartment, are they really homeless? I know countless people who technically have housing but choose to live on the streets. By definition, that does not make them homeless. Yet they still utilize homeless services. Due to poor tracking and weak verification within the social service system, most people are unaware this is happening. That raises an uncomfortable question: is this something the system fails to see—or something it would rather not know?

And the Supreme Court has already said police do not have a constitutional duty to protect you as an individual. So if the state keeps these tools for the people who arrive second… Why does it want to take them from the person who has to survive first? That’s the question. Great balance of showing compassion while sharing truth as Wes Huff responds to the question of why a good God would allow evil: "Well, that is arguably the hardest and most pressing apologetic question there is, because ultimately, the very tidy philosophical and theological answer isn't the right answer sometimes. You know, sometimes the right answer to the wrong question is the wrong answer, because I've encountered situations where someone has brought up a variation of the problem of evil to me, and I've just felt uneasy about maybe the tenor that they're coming at with the question...and asking them, 'You know, that's a great question. Why are you asking that question in particular?' and finding out once again (like the previous question related to it), they're personally hurting. And so, in that sense, I could give a tidy answer about if you're positing that something is good, you're positing that there's an objective good and evil, and if there's an objective good and evil, then you're positing an objective law, and objective law needs an objective lawgiver. So where do we find the groundwork for an objective lawgiver to begin with? Otherwise, you may not like certain things, but to say they ought not to happen is actually an ethical leap to an objective reality that you may or may not have groundwork for. But if that person is struggling because a family member of theirs has cancer, then that particular, maybe tidy, tied-up-in-a-nice-bow answer is not going to speak to them whatsoever. And so that's why that's the hardest question because there are actually very good answers to it, but often it doesn't speak to the person in front of you, because questions have questioners that sit behind them. And one of the pitfalls of my chosen field of ministry apologetics is that sometimes we give answers where we talk at people rather than with people. And there's a danger to that because the Christian faith isn't just an intellectual assent, right? It's a personal relationship. And that should also be played out in the answers that we give..."

Central banks need to be brought under the control of Parliament. “The whole remit for central banks only makes sense if it has social support and public support and ultimately through this parliament and people like you. The moment that support is not there, central banks do not and should not have a role because we are unelected officials with enormous power.” ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• These were quite refreshing remarks from the Deputy Governor of the RBA. It does beg the question why isn’t the RBA Governor elected by the people and if he/she isn’t elected then shouldn’t the RBA be accountable to the people via the parliament who is elected? I’m pretty sure if a poll was to be taken as to whether or not Central Banks still had public support after the Covid debacle the answer would be no. Which begs the question should central banks even exist? My view is no, especially since the RBA refuse to release minutes of meetings with other central banks. No accountability and no transparency is not very democratic. Furthermore, there is no evidence that making the RBA independent has led to better outcomes. In fact I would argue the opposite. #auspol
