This explains why perfumes last longer than others

So my cheap perfume disappearing within 5 minutes wasn't a scam, it was just 95% water and vibes 😂

This just makes it smell stronger, it has nothing to do with the longevity.

Eau de toilette is supposed to be free then.

Isn't eau de toilette just a fancy way of saying toilet water?

We need to stop letting the French name things. "Toilette" "Parfum" suck all the testosterone out of the room.

It's also down to your body temp, body acidity, your lifestyle and diet, your body oils, the temperature outside and about 50 other things. It's why there are perfumes for different seasons and why some perfumes smell different on others. Some people can't smell certain scents.

None of this is true. There is no standard % oil concentration in the industry for any classification, they are different brand to brand, especially niche vs designer. Also the term “elixir” is meaningless and in its modern usage is only 5 years old. It’s just marketing.

Where can I find elixirs in Dior,Dolce and Valentino??

That’s not the reason, it is related to the volatility of essential oils, and of course concentration matters but a citrus oil will always evaporate faster than a resin. And this is affected by PH, humidity, heat…

Base notes and fixatives really carry the whole thing. Makes sense why mine fade so fast.
