In South Africa, this has been around for decades, it even outdated now, we call it “stop nonsense” 😂😂

Ohh really?

@BigGxabashe Indeed, as early as 70's if I'm not mistaken.

@Layemie001 @BigGxabashe They have been used ever since precast concrete has existed.

@ntuli_tk @Layemie001 Accurate

Seen the video of the kid, kicking through a lower section and all the weight of the ones above comes sliding down, crushing his leg?

Perhaps it was installed by a quack.

Not a new concept

In South Africa that pre-cast walling is antiquated and easy to break through. High security premises now moving towards 80mm thick panels up to 5m high.

In the Netherlands, you mostly see wooden fences, which are also nicer than concrete.

The exact tool you need for that flush area

South Florida has been doing concrete sound barrier walls like this for a long time.

I have installed this in US many times. The porous concrete will take in moisture and the steel wiring/rebar will rust and expand from the inside and you will have concrete crumbles very soon. It’s a heavy mess. Great concept, walls in less time/$. But long run expensive mistake.

Check this out!

“Taken over Europe” 😂😂 This has been standard in SA for 40+ years. We literally call it 'stop nonsense' fencing. Europe just caught up late. 🇿🇦 been running this since before some of y'all were born.

It also weighs a literal ton & costs more than wood.

Construction of a modern fence

I lived in England in the 70’s and our base had a cement slat fence the cordoned off the officers club from where the enlisteds lived. Unless I’m missing something, this not new.

A great fencing precast solution that makes that element of any structure construction more easier. It looks like it saves cost and can make having fence of different patterns and design possible without unnecessarily spending too much. This solution also help cut waste on time, financial and human resources deployed for the project.

It seems Germany is not Europe anymore.

@BodamG No one tried it sooner because of its cost. Concrete walls aren't your average cost ooo.

We already had this in Slovakia back in the communist era, and that ended in ’89.💁

Have been used in Europe for decades...

There are precast concrete fences like this that were there 60+ years ago in the uk.

As a european i have to say I have never seen such a fence anywhere. Also it is ugly as fuck.

In South Africa 🇿🇦 this has been a norm

It's very old and retro style. nothing new here

... duh... Vibracrete walls, a form of precast concrete fencing, have roots in early 20th-century British engineering, with advancements in the 1950s aiding their popularity as a durable, affordable, and quick-to-install barrier solution. They evolved from ancient Roman concrete techniques and the 1905 development of precast panelled buildings by John Alexander Brodie...

While Europe may be just starting to adopt this fence building method, it’s considered outdated and not a popular choice in South Africa. Fencing homes in this way is no longer commonly practiced or preferred in our country.🙂🙂 Anyway, enjoy your new trend, Europe!😁😁

Include a little electricity running through it, and badabig bababoom. no worries...you know what I'm sayin.

I got ya!

That's how they built concrete fences in Europe since the 50's. Nothing new here.

This fence method is what was used almost everywhere in Europe 30-40 years ago. But when the rebar starts rusting, the concrete falls apart. Its not really used much nowadays.

A fence that does not pay for itself? That does not produce your own freedom-power even in winter? Who would buy such outdated things? We can do much better. Like this guy did:

ahh yes... marvellous german design...

We have this in Eastern Europe since WW2 😂 Poles and boards of reinforced concrete. They last 100 years if there's no earthquake or a truck does not ram the fence/wall

Yeah this has been and gone in Europe about 20 years ago 😂😂

Hardly 'taking over Europe', we've had precast concrete fence panels for years, at least the last 50 that I know of. Not as popular as it used to be.

Dura Wall In Zim.. This has been around for ages.

Nice concept, but what is the cost comparison to vinyl fencing?

They’ve finally rediscovered concrete two millennia after Rome invented it.
