I never knew what that side of cheese grater was for until now 🤯

Love them this way! My Mom would slice thin some sweet vidalia onions to the sliced cucumbers. Then she'd add 1/2 cup mayo, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup whole milk. Add salt and pepper. Then stir it all up and refrigerate for a few hours so flavors soak up! It's SO DELICIOUS!! 🥒🧅

ADD DILL SPICE & use pickle juice instead of vinegar YUM 😋

My mother always puts onions in with the cucumbers and sour cream. I don’t recall using mayo, but I definitely am going to start making my own.

@duhble_dee Sometimes the auto-captions are off by just a tiny bit 🤣

My favorite way to eat cucumbers is cucumber salsa. Take 2 cucumbers, peeled and diced, add a can of Rotel, drained, and a ranch seasoning packet. Mix well, and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Serve it with chips or just eat it out of the bowl. Yummy!

She messed up on slicing the cucumber. You aren't doing it right unless you skin your knuckles at least once.😅

Salt the cucumbers first & let sit for an hour. That will draw a lot of the moisture out of them. Rinse, then add the rest. Stay firmer longer.

We made that in WI but my mom used honey not sugar

You can look down occasionally. We will not be offended.

Homemade mayo is the best. Gotta love the submersion blenders now too. But, I’m glad whipping it with a egg beater toned my arms

Love your vibe, girl. How do I get the book?

You make the best stuff!

If a woman ever says to you "were out of mayonnaise ill just make some"... Marry her!

The Amish have a strong eye contact game!

My mother was from Germany and made the best cucumber salad, she said always peel the cucumbers.

Please blink

You crack me up.😁 God bless.

You can make a great snack with that English cucumber, red onion, or purple and an avocado dice up all three, drizzle honey and garlic salt and mix and of course add honey to your taste, but holy bologna Batman💓

I like a little fresh dill in mine.

"In this case I don't have any yogurt, so I recommend adding sugar." My kind of cook. My best recipe substitute story. At a friend's house we were making King Ranch Casserole for a party. I asked if she wanted to save the chicken stock from the boiled chicken. "No, I won't need it." Later, "I need chicken stock. We don't have any." Not any canned or bouillon. Not beef either. I check the refrigerator, and the closest liquid to chicken stock is rootbeer. I confidently tell her substitutions are okay. Best King Ranch Casserole ever, and everyone loved it. Don't let lack of specific ingredients ruin a good time.

You are really good at making videos and keeping it real. One day I hope to own a copy of your book!

Dill added to that would slap

That’s what that side of a shredder is for!

hey do you have a fermented cabbage recipe

My Polish grandma made a cucumber salad like this, but she added thinly sliced onions, chopped dill, and a lot of black pepper. She called them “bread & butter” pickles. I love making it during the summer, and it brings me right back to my childhood.

Ex Amish but still wears the Amish attire

Hello new mother. Wow amazing

Delicious

Yummy!!!!

I'm confused. She uses safety pins to close her garments, wears the appropriate headdress but has a pretty nice kitchen with electricity & does video's?

You’ve changed the way many ppl do cooking videos, copycatting you while making the recipes, but trying to not let it “look” like they are copycatting: by looking down momentarily and ever so quickly looking back into the camera while talking/adding ingredients. Unmistakable. 😃

Oh i know what you’re doing….hot!

Do you ever hurt yourself on that when you're not looking?

Eek! Mind the mandolin side of the grater! My nerves!
