This Government has now dumped the Kept Animals Bill that would have ended live animal exports, stamped out puppy smuggling, introduced licensing for private ownership of primates & made zoos invest in conservation. Time we now dumped the Government as well

It's like I'm living in the wrong universe. I just can't believe in this day and age such horrendous neglect by our gov is accepted and signed off. It makes you despair. Rob and his teams gave all their heart and soul to get the livestock act updated.

Our Violet's Law amendment passed the House and has made it into the House-passed Farm Bill. From day one in Congress, we have worked to end taxpayer-funded animal abuse. Violet's Law ensures dogs, cats, primates, hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits used in federally research facilities are retired and re-homed, including through animal rescue organizations, shelters and sanctuaries, rather than euthanized when their time in government labs ends. These animals deserve a second chance.

Gov. Tim Walz can no longer run and hide from another one of his fraud failures that has caught the attention of the national media. In 2019, I authored a bill that would have ended the childcare funding fraud we have seen exposed, again, this week. I introduced that legislation in my first days as a new member in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Democrats were in control at the time. They would not even give my bill a hearing. We haven't stopped fighting for accountability. This year, Republicans ended Democrat control of the House, and under my leadership, we have established a fraud committee to bring more scrutiny to the fraud epidemic that has exploded on Walz's watch. It's time to fire Tim Walz and clean house in the fraud-riddled agencies he has controlled for far too long.

The president of South Africa has signed the Expropriation Bill through which he seeks the power to confiscate private property without compensation. This despite the fact that his party has lost significant support in the last election and is now governing in coalition with several parties that have described this step as a red line that cannot be crossed. The question thus becomes what are these parties going to do? Is it worth being part of a "government of national unity" if that government is even more radical than the previous one. People who voted against EWC and the Bela Bill are now represented by parties involved with a government that is presiding over the implementation of these things. Should they remain in the GNU?
