Dear Pinarayi Vijayan Many Malayali children are struggling to study an UNNECESSARY language like Hindi, which is made a COMPULSORY third language in schools across Kerala. Kerala GOVT should adopt a 2 language policy (Malayalam and English) with the 3rd language as OPTIONAL.

A prominent Kannada journalist has torn into the government's move to ban Hindi, and raises some straightforward, hard hitting questions: 1) Do all those who are opposing Hindi actually have their own children studying in the state syllabus, so that this policy would apply to their kids? 2) By what right do you get to dictate what our kids should learn? Now, please allow me to add a few questions of my own. 1) Why isn’t the government banning Urdu schools and Madrasas funded by Kannadiga taxpayers? Aren’t Muslims Kannadigas too? If not, why are they living off our taxes? If yes, why aren’t they required to learn to read and write Kannada? 2) If this is about minority rights to preserve their language, why aren’t there as many Tulu or Kodava schools as there are Urdu schools? 3) Even by the definition of a minority, aren’t Hindi speaking people in Karnataka also a linguistic minority? This is exactly why subjects like Education, Agriculture, and Health should be moved to the Central List. Let the state cabinets enjoy watching IPL matches from the VIP lounge instead of meddling in critical sectors.

I literally can’t believe what I just watched Michigan is ranked 44th in 4th grade reading nationally and only 38% of 3rd graders are proficient in reading So lawmakers passed a new law. Now in schools students will be taught to sound out words…. This had been moved away from and instead students were being told to just use a different word if they didn’t know how to pronounce the word they were trying to read I can’t believe this is how low we’ve sunk as a country…… Teacher in Michigan explains how they have been teaching. “So if the sentence was, "We are meeting after school," and a student got to the word ‘meeting’ and they didn't know how to read the word ‘meeting,’ I might have said, "Use the words that you do know.” Whoever has done this to our education system needs to be locked up. This is clearly intentionally destroying our kids education

Thiru Karunanidhi, an elderly gentleman, asked the DMK Minister, Thiru Dr P Thiaga Rajan (PTR), a pointed question as to why the State Government of TN is against implementing the 3 language policy. Instead of answering, he was bullied by the DMK Minister & was pushed out of the hall for exposing the flawed policies of the TN Government that have deprived children studying in govt schools of learning a third language.

This makes a mockery of our entire political system and our constitution The oath is supposed to be understood as well as given We have a common language in the UK, it's English This should be the only language you can take an oath in Why are they allowed to declare they don't care for their oaths before swearing them? What's the point in an oath that they clearly have no intention of keeping? None of these people should be allowed to take part in politics They are subversives and traitors, they should be treated as such
