Education is key to solving this crisis like we did with the hiv crisis. Unfortunately, many of the new customers are young people with disabilities, have a difficult time in school or foster care. we need to educate and support our youth about drugs.

Working longer hours, or two jobs & your paycheck is eaten up by rent & food. Historically drugs have been used in war or working long difficult jobs. Conditions r perfect for cartels.

We waste too much time and money on the current revolving door of our so called “bill of rights”

Regulated supply does not work either as regulated drugs are weaker than illicit drugs. We need to be tough on dealers on supply side and reduce demand by drug users on demand side proactively

It’s far more likely accidental cross-contamination while bagging. Putting fentanyl in coke doesn’t improve the high, it just kills you.

I can't stress this enough. David Eby needs to go & we need all hands on deck to do it. A taxpayer funded group home working for the Ministry of Child & Family Development left a 12 year old girl in the DTES & tells police to just walk away. Remember folks, this is the same Ministry that took over 500+ children from families who wouldn't "affirm" a child's new gender identity, to "save lives". Does leaving a 12 year old girl in the DTES, who is addicted to hard drugs, sound even remotely like the BC NDP care about the safety or wellbeing of children? Is it any wonder that child overdose deaths went from 3 in 2014, to being the #1 cause of death of children by 2025? Child overdose deaths are so bad the government is covering up how many children are dying by omitting "safe supply" overdose deaths from the official corners report on overdose deaths. We pay for all of this, including the junkies who waste away their life in the DTES. If we spend $90K per year, per junkie in the DTES, is that money well spent? Is that really how you folks want your tax dollars used? We can't keep Emergency rooms open & thousands die every year waiting for healthcare. But we can subsidize the hard / lethal drug trade by BILLIONS, every year? What a seriously mentally ill way to run a society.
