this guy fighting skills is on another level 🍿🎥

😎

He trained for 8 years for this movie, no wonder it's epic

Ong-Bak… truly a masterpiece. Tony Jaa was, at one point, widely considered the next Bruce Lee. Tom-Yum-Goong is another outstanding film that really showcased his raw power, athleticism, and screen presence. Unfortunately, things became complicated with Ong-Bak 2. The production faced serious issues (delays, budget problems, and management troubles) and what was meant to be a single sequel eventually turned into parts 2 and 3. This situation led European distributors to lose confidence and cancel their deals. After that, Tony Jaa largely disappeared from European cinemas and never again returned as a major theatrical attraction. He continued working, of course, but mostly in smaller productions or supporting roles. In my opinion, his physical abilities are exceptional, few martial artists on film can match his athletic skills, but the lack of strong business management hurt his career. And in the film industry, talent alone is never enough; it is, first and foremost, a business. Somehow, Jackie Chan managed to balance skill and business far more effectively… even Bruce Lee did, despite his short career. Part of it comes down to the industry around them: Hong Kong and Chinese companies have a much longer history of managing stars, strong distribution networks, and a system that keeps talent relevant internationally. Tony Jaa, incredible as he is, never had that kind of support. His talent was undeniable, but without a solid industry behind him, sustaining international success was almost impossible.
