The bigotry is just starting. Today we have access to internet. Our children will defend the evil Fulani, Yoruba and the west melted on us. The game is just starting. It’s a matter of time. We Igbos don’t forgive.

Is “Omo jo yibo” an Igbo phrase?? This clown is not well. Igbo people are not your problems, we are not the ones who kidnapped your children in oyo state. So instead of you to ask your president who is a Yoruba man to solve your problems, you’re still calling igbos. You are not well.

The premise of this message is bigoted and unnecessary. For the good of Nigeria, divide Nigeria, not due to bigotry, but for the sake of a prosperous individual countries that will emerge.

We need to make all these realistic slowly. We need to start pushing this aggressively to our Yoruba leaders. Let everyone divide along social and ethnic lines. It’s so obvious that we can’t be one with those folks. Anything wey sha make me hold any important office, Yorubas will feel my overwhelming favoritism and I won’t even feel an ounce of guilt

All tribes have stereotypes of themselves and others. It’s just a thing we all do, it all depends on how objective you are and how you see things. Hate and malicious stereotypes is not only on the Igbos but on bothe sides and I don’t see this changing anytime soon. The ignorant will remain ignorant and the few liberal will remain liberal.

So the “Omo jo Igbo ni” was coined by an Igbo person who doesn’t speak or understand Yoruba language? That boy sounds educated, but his education is a waste.

He is also an idealist. People want to overrun you on your ancestral land and take over your resources and politics, you are there talking about calling them to a round table for negotiations in your land when the SA treatment is clearly what is required.

You can’t seek resolution and at the same time base you assertion on dishonesty. I am sure you knw who Alex Onyia is, just check the ethnicity of those attacking a man who is investing in his community. This is the cunning nature that riles me about South westerners.

I grew to know that Yorubas are the most educated tribe in Nigeria. You just use the stereotype that suits your agenda. Ofe manu and hot foods are not a bad stereotype. Igbos are also said to be hard-working and frugal, but some say we do money rituals. Now that I am grown up and see so-called professionals not reasoning with their brains, it just baffles me.

We are oil and water, and cannot share the same space. The politicians that are eating from the filthy lucre of Nigeria are the ones that are funding it difficult to understand this simple analogy. While Ibos might have some good attributes especially in business (*), they attributes that makes them anti-social are more than enough to destroy any society. The only reason that Nigeria has not descended into a free-for-all, blood-letting and destructive society since the Ibos started attacking our sensibilities is because Yoruba people have been literally calm and understanding to a fault. If the ethnic group at the other side of Ibos attack are violent and volatile people like the Hausas, another civil war would have happened since 2020-2023 that Ibos started their onslaughts against everything the Yoruba people stand for. Our politicians and those eating from the corruption in Nigeria are seeing all these attacks and yet pretending not to see. I pity everyone of us, may we not rue the chances to put selfish interests aside and chart a course that would separate Yoruba people socially and politically from the Ibos in the South and the Fulanis in the North. Delay is dangerous!!! (*) - Industry with a lot of shenanigans/manipulations under it.

This is a very unfair take but they are his own opinions and I respect that. Truth is I could give same arguements in reverse. Whenever the Yorubas talk about the igbos being hardworking, it always ends with loving money, betraying family or ritual for wealth. Our women they say are promiscuous. Our foods, not up to standard. You see now that it goes both ways. However like him while growing up, I never knew bigotry, not even until my university years. Until this day, I have not experienced it directly but I cannot deny that it does exist. I would only say this, no particular tribe is to blame and we all are to blame at the same time. You could imagine what happen just a week or two ago with the EFCC traditional cap positioning. The Hausas didn’t even complain much, it was the Yorubas against the Igbos. God knows I do not hate anyone or discriminate anyone because of tribe. Sometimes if you hear me rant about my own tribe, you’ll think I’m prejudiced against my own people. Rather than level accusations or call for split, she should work on building up Nigeria for Nigerians as a whole whether Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo. If you’re observant, you’ll realize that this incompatibility between tribes shows up only in politics. In music and football tribe doesn’t exists, in the Yoruba owambe igbos are there dragging amala and kpomo, even in our various businesses Yoruba buys from igbos and Igbos from Yoruba. Yoruba men forgets igbos are tribalist when they see fair Chidinma. Igbo man forgets everything he has against Yorubas when he sees Kemi’s bum bum. Who are we deceiving abeg? I believe we can work together. I believe in one Nigeria. But I always believe in separation of powers by region. We don’t have to split to be great, let us call our enemy by name and address it. God bless Nigeria

@AyoOyalowo I’ve always said separation at times makes us stronger, I don’t hate any tribe or people but I think at this point Nigeria should at best return to a regional system of governance or separate totally, I gladly will be instrumental in making that happen.

In your submission you forgot to mention that Yorubas have suffered more from Your hausa Fulani romance than you have from the igbos. More prominent Yorubas have been killed, jailed or intimidated both politically and otherwise by Hausa Fulanis elements but Yorubas dont have a problem with it. Every tribe in Nigeria suffers one stereotype or another from each other. You call the Igbos stingy, cunning and crooked. And I promise you whatever you said the igbos call you is not only true but is also what other tribes call you why is the igbo version paining you? The Hausas whom you fraternize with call you what again? Yaribas

Idealism never triumphs over realism. It is naive to believe a workable agreement can ever be reached with the Ibo, whose enduring ambition has long been the subjugation/elimination of the Yoruba. A permanent dissolution of Nigeria along ethnolinguistic lines is the only solution

The apparent increase in animosity b/w the 2 groups is because Igbos are being harassed and are being denied constitutionally-guaranteed equal citizenship rights in their own country, especially in Lagos, by some Tinubu supporters ( Ronu Rascals), & we complain of SA xenophobia
