Unfortunately bro, you were 2 years late. BYD vehicles (like the Atto 3, Dolphin, and Sealion 7) utilize a Driver Monitoring System (DMS) or Driver Fatigue Monitoring System (DFMS) to detect signs of drowsiness, such as yawning, eye closure, or steering behavior, triggering auditory alerts to improve safety. However, there are car companies that have not integrated this to their software and may be interested in what you have done.

This dude was pulled over for a headlight violation. During the stop the officer involved demands to see the ID of the passenger ( his wife). The response from the driver is no, she was not driving. The officer involved throws out that Alabama is a stop and ID state. (Alabama Code § 15-5-30:) This state law allows officers to demand the name, address, and an explanation from someone in a public place if they reasonably suspect the person is committing or about to commit a crime. The driver’s argument rests on the principle that while he (the driver) is required to provide a license for a traffic violation, a passenger typically does not have to provide identification unless there is "reasonable articulable suspicion" that they have committed a crime. The Driver’s Stance: He correctly asserts that as the driver, he is the one being investigated for the headlight, and since the passenger has not committed a violation, the officer's authority to demand her ID is limited. Also Social Security Request: The driver also challenges the officer's demand for his Social Security number, citing federal privacy protections. In short the driver schooled these officers which is why he is quickly sent on his way once they see he knows his rights.

It is still a paid service though and is likely using the same software as the Austin Robotaxis. Once Tesla receives the required permit, they will remove the safety driver and instead have a safety monitor in the passenger seat like they do in Austin. That could happen within the next 1–2 months, according to Elon.
