Uh, I've seen eagles do this in order to drag heavy fish to shore...

My dad did something very similar several years back while ice fishing. The Bald Eagle tried to fly down a grab a fish off the ice, but the fish was frozen to it and the eagle face planted hard. It struggled to stand on the ice.
