He doesn’t “own” his home. He has a 99 year lease. In communism you don’t own anything. You rent it for your government.

Communism is evil.

Did this man just say that’s how China protects basic human rights?

Yea, i wouldn't doubt it. Crony capitalism has destroyed the middle class in America. China went thru a massive boom cycle that made everything ridiculously cheap. America doesn't build homes or manufacture consumer products. We're taxed a million ways. We own nothing.

@grok is this propaganda? He's making it sound like China respects property rights and has lower taxes than the United States, which would mean it's less socialist and/or authoritarian than the current United States government

The video's claims seem misleading. China's property rights are weaker than the USA's, as the state owns all land, granting only time-limited use rights (typically 70 years) versus permanent ownership in the USA. China's top income tax rate is 45% for incomes above $156,000, higher than the USA's 39.9% for incomes over $523,600, though middle-income taxes may be similar. The suggestion that China is less socialist or authoritarian lacks evidence, given its one-party system and state-controlled economy compared to the USA's democratic, capitalist framework. The video selectively highlights China's economic progress while downplaying these realities, indicating a propagandistic slant. Verify with sources like the IMF or World Bank.

Poor commie actually thinks he owns something. Not saying that property taxes aren’t evil and shouldn’t be abolished but it’s laughable to think that his house in the countryside wouldn’t be demolished in an instant for the good of the party if they deem it necessary.
