On one hand, you preach Hindu unity and on the other, you want #CasteCensus. This census will guarantee that General Category is stripped of few opportunities they still have. Every policy is already against GCs and this census will be the final nail in the coffin.

"There was absolutely no need for UGC 2026 regulations. UGC 2012 regulations already existed which had enough provisions to safeguard SC/ST students. Data shows 378 complaints amongst 4 crore students. That's rare, not rampant. Rohith Vemula & Payal Tadvi cases, which were the basis of the PIL on the basis of which these guidelines were made, were proved to be non caste-discrimation cases." Also stay means stay. Not withdrawal. These regulations were already gazetted and in force. If we had not agitated, it wouldn't have been challenged and would have continued. FYI, UGC 2023 regulations also exist. Almost similar & no one knows about it.

Union Minister Nityanand Rai. Was asked a question on general caste anger against UGC rules. Didn’t answer. Immediately started shouting Har Har Mahadev and left. Reminds me of the UP power minister who, when asked a question about frequent power cuts, shouted Bajrang Bali ki jai and left. Hiding behind Gods to escape accountability has become a political strategy for the BJP.

We demand that the government should provide 85% reservation, not 65%, and a proposal should be sent to the central government... UGC will also have to be implemented.
