Her 3 minute answer is well worth the listen, particularly the point she made on the disparity between prize money and who is actually coming through the gate. “The prize money that’s been going through the roof for a number of years now, which is the respect the women deserve, like a hundred percent. “But the issue I have with such high prize money is that I feel it’s such a big disparity between who’s going through the gate. So for me, I’ve noticed as a broadcaster, when I’m commentating on the men’s game, it’s very easy to get fired up because you can hear the energy. It’s very easy to talk about a shot in a dramatic way because you can just feel the groans or you can feel the highs and lows. “For us on the LPGA, we need to get fans through the door because ultimately the greatest moments in sport isn’t just the shot, it’s actually the moment.
