This evening, I joined staff in Office of the Prime Minister - Uganda for our twice-a-month physical exercise at the Nakasero Primary School playground. This physical exercise programme follows a Cabinet directive requiring Ministries, Departments and Agencies to conduct physical exercise sessions for their staff to combat lifestyle diseases. I commend the staff for embracing this programme and encourage them to continue. Exercise is therapy & only healthy people can do the work effectively. I've been in touch with the District Collector on that issue. I've also written a letter to the minister. The conditions are appalling, and the district collectors had some temporary toilets installed. We are also discussing this because they are planning to relocate the girls. It should not be a place that is so far from their home that it becomes difficult for them to get an education, and slowly they drop out. We have also asked the minister to locate a place that is closer and to build this school and to repair the facilities in this existing school in the meantime so that they can move back close to their homes and finish their education. I have written to the minister, and I have also spoken to the District Collector and have requested that the most important thing is that they continue their education in a safe, secure, clean, and hygienic environment. Everybody is working towards it. : Congress General Secretary & Wayanad MP Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ji on shifting the tribal students of a government school in Wayanad to a safe institution within the district.

I am not sure which school this is but honorable Elijah Ngurare Manongo this matter needs to be investigated as soon as possible. We cannot have school going learners participating in tribal war and violence. The school environment also needs to be investigated because sometimes, these children see and hear how teachers treat each other due to ongoing internal tribal conflict.
