Physical books are hard to come by nationwide. Congrats to Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan for the earthquake proving nonfiction publishing is far from dead.

This is Beni Bazar in Nepal, where 30,000 people live and what you’re looking at is a disaster waiting to happen. Look closely. The natural course of the river has been pushed to the side, while houses have been built directly across original path and floodplain. And that’s not all. Another river comes from the opposite direction & converges around densely populated settlement. If a major flood hits, houses could be swept away & lives could be lost within seconds. Nepal needs to learn from recent disaster. It can't afford to ignore this.
