I would NOT change a thing with the 1958 kitchen. I don't like the so called 'modern' kitchen designs/plans and sick of the industrial grey looking interiors/exteriors/open floor plans albeit on on homes/businesses etc..

These appliances are probably still working when modern appliances are broken when you buy them! We had an issue with a @KitchenAidUSA top of the line dishwasher that had a catastrophic failure and never worked. It died completely in less than 3 years.

Nice but having lived in a home with ovens like that, I would definitely switch the refrigerator and the ovens. You can grab a 25 lb turkey out of a refrigerator and safely cross the kitchen to a counter or table. You cannot take a 25 lb turkey out of an oven and carry it and the 350 degree drippings safely across the the kitchen. Have your wall oven. But also have a safe place nearby to put the hot stuff you take out of it.

My 1953 kitchen has the original steel cabinets (Youngstown Kitchens). They’re attractive and sturdy. They’ll outlast me and I will never replace them. If you like the style, go for it. It was a modern concept then and still is.

The blue is pretty but I don’t like the wood used for the cabinets. Just looks wrong with the blue and sticks out like a sore thumb. They should have been lighter, like the brick wall. Dumbwaiter seems like a waste of space too.

Man - this is almost exactly the set up that I offered to McDonald's consultants when talking about an automated kitchen. However, I had the ingredients dropping onto the bun, not a basket. Con: this is the slowest robot I have ever seen. A human would have made 8 sandwiches by the time this made one. Interesting Note: A few years ago, MCD tested an automated kitchen in Bolingbrook. They they had it under lock and key. You could not go into that kitchen unless you were one of the few & chosen (and probably an NDA). I don’t have pics bc all pics were prohibited. All I know is that it just didn’t work out.

I need your advice and quickly. Bottom line is this is almost identical to our kitchen, and we are ordering new appliances here at the new farmhouse, which has a red barn and is on a little property/land acreage. I could get this in aqua white or black and I was leaning toward aqua but now I’m leaning toward White. What do you think? I can put a picture of it below what it would look like aqua but it’s interesting that the company themselves use white with our literal color, kitchen, same hardware, etc.

If I have a plug or a hack to get a better deal or more food, would I share it online? Probably not, the chances that it would ruin it me or the company is pretty high. Especially if other locations catch on. I feel that if I shared this, what would happen is more and more people would try to take advantage of it and the store would issue a policy to stop it. What I’m conflicted about is, by ordering a taco in a bowl, I would be getting a $15 bowl for $4. Is it my fault the company has a loophole like that, or should I even feel guilty about exploiting it if it’s only for my benefit? Or is it a scenario where everything is fair game because the restaurant allows us to do that. Whose fault is it that we figured out how to get their pricier item for less? Someone else called it theft, but is this really theft if it’s allowed? They allow us to put our taco shell in a bowl. They allow us to ask for as many extras that we want. So would I really be the bad guy for taking advantage of this? I figured if this was a real issue the store would have stopped it, and to this day as far as I know, anyone can still do this. When I get a chance this week I’ll go and try to do this again to see if it still works, I’ll keep you posted.

In this Clip, JLR© is having a discussion with Watching the World , and we get to see that front door lock!! I know a setup like this for many people would look cool and convenient but hear me out. I would only utilize something like this while parked in a camping area with other people. I would not use this by myself in the middle of the woods like this. I don’t feel they are safe and I’ll explain why. First off and most importantly, I don’t see a safe way to secure it. It’s all thin plastic sheeting meant to be waterproof but can be easily cut to gain access. If anyone wanted to cause harm or rob you, all they have to do is cut through the sheeting and they would have access to everything. It wouldn’t be hard to break into this. Then I look at how long it takes to setup, while it shows one person can set this up by themselves. Look at how long it takes to do this, it’s very impractical. I feel something like this that’s an add on to a vehicle should be much easier, like pushing a button and everything is pops out by itself. In an emergency I couldn’t imagine trying to fold things back in the right way while trying to escape. Could you imagine trying to outrun a bear in this only for it to be ripped off by tree branches cause you couldn’t fold it in time? The scenario I’m thinking of is what if I am being chased by a wild animal like a wolf or a bear. I couldn’t just hop in my Jeep and take off with this setup. Everything is folded out and tethered into the ground. It’s not like a traditional tent I could leave behind. If I was out camping with friends for a few days I think this could be ok. But doing a van life of camping for months at a time during the summer months wouldn’t be safe or practical as a solid unit like a standard RV. I wouldn’t be comfortable or safe in something like this.

I wanted to create a BIOS for but it became this :D I really like these TUI interfaces, sometimes you still see them in shops or supermarkets when you pay Maybe I should make a whole SaaS biz with this interface?
