This is a weird thing to say. Part of what makes jokes funny is that they ring true. It sounds like he's saying that Kamala is a crunchy hippie, and there is nothing crunchy or hippie-ish about her. She's not a vegan. There are videos of her giving tips on cooking turkey, FFS.
