This is absolutely outrageous from former Labour political advisor John McTernan: “We can do to the farmers what Thatcher did to the miners. It’s an industry we could do without. We don’t need small farmers.”

And there it is…a senior figure within the Labour Party over the past 30 years (a key figure within the Tony Blair Labour government era) openly saying that “we don’t need small farmers ” and “it’s an industry we can do without”. Absolutely disgraceful.

This is the politics of envy, ignorance, vindictiveness and gross stupidity.
