(May 9, 2021) Howth, Ireland - Gang of teenage boys randomly attack girls at Irish railway station pushing one into gap between train and platform Disturbing footage has emerged of the moment half a dozen teenage boys set upon a group of girls at a train station. One girl copped a kick in the head during the fracas while another slipped down the gap between the platform and the train after being pushed. The incident occurred in the Irish village of Howth, near Dublin, on April 1 around 9pm. However, over the weekend a passerby shared the disturbing footage they took of the random attack. In the video, a group of young girls try to get onto the train while a group of boys are exiting. The girls attempt to get into the train when they are pointed to a door further down the platform, requiring them to walk past the group of hoodie-clad thugs. As they walk past the gang, the boys leer at them, punch the air and attempt to swipe them. Some of the girls then attempt to sprint past the boys. One of the boys kicks a girl in the head as she runs by. Near the end of the video, another boy pushes a girl with his bike as she runs past. This unbalances her and she falls, sliding into the gap between the train and the platform. Her drink spills all over the platform. Her attacker appears shocked while the security guard rushes to help. The Garda, Ireland’s police force, has launched an official investigation into the Howth Junction Dart station assault. In a statement provided to The Sun, Irish police said: “An Garda Siochana (Irish Police) does not comment on third party social media content. “Gardai are investigating an incident of assault that occurred in Howth Junction Dart Station on 1st April 2021 at approximately 9pm. “A woman fell from the train platform during the incident and sustained injuries. “An investigation is ongoing into this matter. No arrests have been made at this time.” A worker for the Irish Rail called the incident “disgraceful”. “Thankfully she (the girl) wasn’t seriously injured but it was disgraceful,” Irish Rail spokesman Barry Kenny said. “The Gardai responded and we have had extensive operations in that area including at Howth Junction station in recent weeks, both to assist in the essential travel measures and address anti-social behaviour.” Full Article:
