We are developing a new design paradigm that enables seamless integration of 2D and 3D on the same canvas in real time. No need for plugins or cumbersome workflows. It's all connected in a single place. All systems (frames, layouts, booleans, vectors, effects, etc.) work in sync across 2D and 3D, non-destructively. This is the starting point of a fully multi-dimensional design process. At some point in the near future, people won't need to refer to '3d design' as a separate part of the process, because it will be all part of the same system. The following is a demo of this in the works within Hana (a design canvas). We will ship this latest development in about a week.

I will never forget the day I finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Cried pretty hard at the ending too then I realized something, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my favorite video game of all time i said to myself 6 years ago. Still is to this day. Whether we get a Nintendo Switch 2 edition or Definitive Edition for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I’ll be there to support its release!

3D editing is hard: you need to ground an image + instruction and generate a faithful 3D shape in one forward pass -- no test-time optimization. So, we steer pretrained image-to-3D representations to do text-guided 3D edits; no massive 3D edit-pair dataset needed. Key trap: the “no-edit” solution is a nasty local minimum. We fix it with preference optimization, pushing the model to actually edit. Steer3D is the second work that adapts alignment ideas from LLMs to the 3D modality. SAM 3D also used DPO to improve its 3D generations.

New open-source 3D world-generation model. I'm rendering a couple of worlds in the video, so check it out. You'll find the GitHub and the Hugging Face links to the model below. This is a multi-modal world model that you can use for a bunch of things: • To generate new worlds • To reconstruct worlds • To simulate 3D interactive worlds from a prompt, images, or a video You can edit the 3D outputs in Unity and Unreal Engine (they export as meshes, 3DGS files, and point clouds). You can also generate 3D characters in the world and walk around. Pretty fun stuff!

This 3D model is of the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo in Peru, and features the South wall, that visitors rarely get to see. Enjoy, and make sure to give Marián a follow Marián Marčiš if you want to see more incredible 3D models of ancient sites in Peru and beyond!
