This is always a pretty clever technique to see In Xenoblade Chronicles every bush in Gaur Plains is the same way. Just a flat 2D plane that rotates as you move the 3D camera to give the illusion its 3D All the wizardry Monolithsoft needed to do to get... show more

Let's talk numbers, the original 2D video is 7.3Mb; the needed data to play it in this 3D volumetric way, which allows you to change the camera position and focus realtime is just an extra 11Mb.

Combining 2D and 3D in After Effects. In Foldspace, not every surface needs to be bent. Keep one flat for 2D artwork, and let the others exist in 3D space. This allows you to combine 2D and 3D objects in a single animation with no masks or tricks needed.

Thank you Figma for building the best 3D software ever! Jokes aside, this is probably the first and only 3D engine built in Figma. It uses mathematical transformations to project 3D coordinates on a 2D plane (your screen) Check it here:

Snyder: We have a president who is trying to engineer a regime change towards a permanent authoritarian system. That is what's going on. All the evidence is right in front of us. He talks about it pretty much every day in the words, in the tonality. Pretty much all the policy decisions point that way. Just to give an obvious example, the idea of giving the military $1.5T is just, I mean, on its face, it's a bribe so that the military will support him as he tries to rig elections, stay in power forever. That's what he's trying to do.

I will never forget the day I finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Cried pretty hard at the ending too then I realized something, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my favorite video game of all time i said to myself 6 years ago. Still is to this day. Whether we get a Nintendo Switch 2 edition or Definitive Edition for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I’ll be there to support its release!

We are developing a new design paradigm that enables seamless integration of 2D and 3D on the same canvas in real time. No need for plugins or cumbersome workflows. It's all connected in a single place. All systems (frames, layouts, booleans, vectors, effects, etc.) work in sync across 2D and 3D, non-destructively. This is the starting point of a fully multi-dimensional design process. At some point in the near future, people won't need to refer to '3d design' as a separate part of the process, because it will be all part of the same system. The following is a demo of this in the works within Hana (a design canvas). We will ship this latest development in about a week.

1/ Wanted to see if you could actually get a usable 3D asset out of a flat 2D image without spending hours fixing the mesh. A flat 2D image turned it into a crisp, high-detail 3D model in about 5 minutes flat. Everything is handled entirely inside the browser using Hi3D so there’s zero setup. Here’s a quick look at the final asset and the exact workflow:

You noticed the bulb in the bathroom was out and finally go change it to find the bulb wasn’t even in the receptacle. Upon further inspection you see that there is a camera in its place. Their sends you into a rage, everyone uses this shower and this camera could have been used to peep in on anyone. How do you proceed to get to the bottom of things?

#TENGOKU This is the real scene of the Tengoku Verse. Here you can have a unique mansion, and your 3D virtual human can move freely in this space and talk to others. This is the parallel world you expect, not just a JPG.🏠

3D editing is hard: you need to ground an image + instruction and generate a faithful 3D shape in one forward pass -- no test-time optimization. So, we steer pretrained image-to-3D representations to do text-guided 3D edits; no massive 3D edit-pair dataset needed. Key trap: the “no-edit” solution is a nasty local minimum. We fix it with preference optimization, pushing the model to actually edit. Steer3D is the second work that adapts alignment ideas from LLMs to the 3D modality. SAM 3D also used DPO to improve its 3D generations.

We achieved a fundamental milestone in combining 2d and 3d, all in the same canvas, all in real-time. Here is a sneak peek. We aim to ship this within Hana in a week or two. If anyone is interested in testing before that, let us know in the comments.

Camera control is no longer in the prompt Meet 3D Motion Control → Set the camera path in 3D → Your scene becomes the video reference the model follows → Same move, every take, exactly where you set it Available now in Magnific

This anime sequence was originally planned to be in 3D but we wanted to go ALL the way and animate in traditional 2D!! Take a lil peak at the storyboard process. 👀

New open-source 3D world-generation model. I'm rendering a couple of worlds in the video, so check it out. You'll find the GitHub and the Hugging Face links to the model below. This is a multi-modal world model that you can use for a bunch of things: • To generate new worlds • To reconstruct worlds • To simulate 3D interactive worlds from a prompt, images, or a video You can edit the 3D outputs in Unity and Unreal Engine (they export as meshes, 3DGS files, and point clouds). You can also generate 3D characters in the world and walk around. Pretty fun stuff!
