Tom Ford clocked it… 👀 If your “personal style” is just copy + paste straight off the runway, is it even personal? Real style is interpretation, not imitation. The magic is in how you translate a piece, not how accurately you recreate it. When a look makes you pause like “wait… that’s the same garment?” THAT’s style. And let’s be honest… if a stylist is being paid just to replicate runway looks verbatim, what exactly are we paying for? Where’s the eye? The instinct? The point of view? Runway is a suggestion, not a script. Style is identity, not obedience.

Had a friend once who did that. She went to furniture store & bought everything in the fake rooms set-ups, including fake art and plants for all the rooms in her condo. That surprised me that she had enough $$ as a 30 yr old to buy an apt in Boston but didn't know what she liked.
