Petr Barna, bronze medal in Albertville 92. Barna was the first figure skater to successfully land a quadruple jump (toe loop) at the Olympic Games.

While it's exciting to see the technical side of figure skating, I mourn the loss of the truly artistic expression. Arms and hands can be expressive, not just flapping like a spastic bird, a routine can be much more than jumps.

Truly a fantastic performance. While it is nice to see the elegance and grace of figure skating, it feels refreshing to just see a comedy routine/tribute play out while somehow being able to move like that on skates.

Back when the skaters told a story and their routines were creative, entertaining , and true performances. Now it's just who can do the most jumps. The judges' chosen ones have little artistry anymore.

It was amazing, but not part of the competition, a performace for the Gala. Which explains why he has a cane, allows himself to fall and concentrates on steps rather then difficult technical elements and jumps.

Old-time, controlled skating skills, instead of limbs flailing.

It's good. On the other hand, it's a bit disappointing that it's more about providing a bit of laughter and entertainment through imitation and copying rather than creative elements.

That’s not just performance.… that’s sacrifice, discipline, and soul on ice.
