This is #bathgate Customer told to remove a wall and his bath for a cylinder to be installed as part of the heatpump installation by Octopus.

This was my original video. I want toake clear to everyone that Octopus admitted it was their fault and have agreed to pay to have the bathroom put back to how it was. We all make mistakes , but it's how we deal with the mistakes that matters.

I mean we've all told customers to rip out walls and baths so we could run the discharge easily haven't we? 🤣 I think the worrying thing is how rigid octopus seem to be. Why not get a custom cylinder? Or measure the cupboard properly

Octopus installed my heat pump at the start of June, nothing but issues and shoddy workmanship, still isn’t working correctly. Really wish I’d gone with someone else. If you’re thinking about it, seriously do not use Octopus, just shocking.

..that will be the hot water cylinder we all had ripped out when we were persuaded to go Combi! - oh, and hope he/she ensured there was an immersion in the new one in case HOT water (as opposed to warm) is wanted.

Mad that the grant pushes new cylinders to go in when many homes are happily using electric showers. (guessing in this one the customer asked for a mixer shower) Also the old cylinder can work fine - slightly lower CoP but significant cost and disruption avoided.
