This man is a restaurant owner and he says that Door Dash is a completely different restaurant within a restaurant. Prices are higher when you order from them because Door Dash can take up to 30% from the business. So when you think you are helping that business by ordering from them through Door Dash, sometimes you aren’t. He also says that Door dash sometimes lets the food you ordered sit for for 20,30, even up to 45 minutes before they pick it up. So when you get it and it’s cold and call to complain, it was made on time but they were late. As he says, I know it’s a convenience but I don’t like paying and extra fee. And herring this from him, I don’t think I will ever use it. Why don’t these restaurants just cancel their contract with Door Dash? Do you use Door Dash? Will what he said change your mind about using them? What’s been your experience with them?

As you know, I like recommending small and family run companies that do good work for me. When I bought my Johannesburg home, it had a semi-covered veranda and it used to stress me when it was raining. So I used AI to look for a solution and it recommended a company called Solara Awnings and Outdoor Blinds. They fitted the awnings for the first part yesterday and today, and they sent me this video of the work they have done so far. They are very good and very professional. AI recommended awnings with an electric motor, so when it is sunny you can open the veranda louvres, and when it is raining you close them. It gives you the flexibility to control how much light and sun comes in. So here is the deal. The company said I will get a discount for the back part of the house if I recommend them and they get more work, so do your thing. They are not expensive. The awnings can either be manual or electric, for old folks like me. Their WhatsApp number is +27 83 545 6784, and their email is awningsjhb@qproducts.co.za or dirk@qproducts.co.za. Tell them that I referred you, you will also get a discount.
