not sure why nobody is talking about this but Google Omni is insane at video editing Original Video (left) vs Omni Edited Video (right) everyone is comparing it to Seedance and missing the point completely. Seedance is for generating videos from scratch. Google Omni is for editing videos that already exist. which are two completely different use cases this is like when Nano Banana 1 first came out and nobody realized how big it was going to be. this is the first AI that can actually properly edit videos.. i've generated a few hundred videos with this model and it can do literally any type of edit you can think of. changing voices, swapping characters, removing watermarks, adding captions, transitions, pop ups, whatever. if you can describe the edit you want it can do it this completely crushes every other model on the market when it comes to video editing. nothing else even comes close right now and this is just the flash model. imagine what the pro version is going to be able to do when it drops in a couple months this should have way more hype than it's getting..

No. That’s delusional. 1/ Generative AI is already being used professionally at the level of big studios like Disney ($1B to OpenAI), and there’s zero doubt that studios like Industrial Light & Magic, Netflix, Hollywood VFX experts, etc. are already experimenting with it too. Or do you think they’re idiots? They’re not idiots at all. They have the experience and, more importantly, the DISTRIBUTION POWER. The point is: someone with taste, judgment, and storytelling experience, basically from their living room, will have access to (almost, or not even almost) the same capability as the big guys, because the pure "making stuff" skills have been commoditized, and the new way to create is just NATURAL LANGUAGE. What hasn’t been commoditized is good taste, the ability to create great stories that move people, and the ability to get them in front of people. So in the end, what wins is story quality and distribution. Having good taste, making a name for yourself, and owning strong IP (Marvel, etc.) will still matter. That’ll be true right up until AI is genuinely opinionated and can create by itself: if it comes to that, with zero human direction, stuff as good as (or better than) the very best human experts today, and on top of that, interactive in real time... Because yeah: there’s nothing in this universe that actually prevents that from happening. BUT WE’RE NOT THERE. For now, generative AI is a tool that needs direction and taste to make anything decent. And I hope it stays that way for a long time, because otherwise that’s going to be a brutal hit to humanity’s ego. 2/ On the "bubble": you have to distinguish between a stock valuation bubble (possible, I actually believe it) vs a bubble like some people imagine where it "pops" and we never hear about AI again. That obviously makes no sense given how insanely useful it is. It can only grow, and it’s going to grow fast, regardless of any stock market drawdowns (the internet kept growing even when valuations got nuked in 2000). There is not a single thing our government does well for the people because its entire purpose is to serve the rich. Now here’s the part MAGA does not want to hear, but it is the truth: Trump was never the solution to any of this. His form of populism has always been fake & leaned on nationalist rhetoric to appeal to white working class voters without any substantive policies to improve life for anyone outside the richest 1%. Trump knew the system was corrupt and that people were struggling, but he never intended to actually do anything about it. Instead he took advantage of people who rightly lost faith in a system that only serves the elite by selling them the exact same corrupt system, only he covered it in bright red MAGA paint. Now here’s the part Blue MAGA does not want to hear, but it’s the truth: The Democrats are not the solution to any of this either. Things didn’t get better under Biden because Democrats serve the same corrupt capitalist and imperialist system that Republicans do. I just need to say it… Some of you have LOST YOUR FRIGGIN MINDS over Hurricane Milton We Do live in Sarasota County where it’s making landfall right now but do NOT live on the coast (15 miles+ inland) People have been telling us all day that we deserve to die for not leaving and to write our daughters SSN on their arms to be identified. The video to the left is the worst it has gotten. Now I want to be VERY VERY clear. If you live on the beach, are in a mobile home, or a major flood zone… Evacuation is a NECESSITY. I hope those people all got out and are safe. But I’m not joking. I’ve had family and friends telling me that ALL Florida is going to be wiped out by Milton. And to kiss my daughters goodbye tonight because we stayed. Now I mostly blame the over sensationalist media for hyping everyone up making it sound like this was going to make landfall as the most catastrophic storm in history. It literally made landfall as a Cat 3 120mph winds. Thats far from the largest. People saw that it was a Cat 5 with 200 mph winds when it was in the middle of the ocean and thought it would land at that. TikTok and random “weather people” didn’t make this any better.
