These days I can understand that. Folks are not wrapped too tight mentally. In my day coming up the women did hair in their living space and everything was cool. But that was the ‘70s and ‘80s. Success forced some to open up hair salons and braid there. The public domain comes with regulations. Personally, I don’t like the government regulating cultural things. I don’t even like the government now being associated with Kwaanza or Juneteenth.

@Coutorce We never needed shops though I always went to the crib and had folks come to mine k been braids since I was 11 . As a teenager this how I paid and got my chirpy phone . We don’t need shops word of mouth and skill will pay u better then any shop .
