This is great! What a difference a high tide makes. Thames at Twickenham As sea levels rise this view will become even more impressive.

I sent this to my friend who lived there. Reply ⬇️

Yes, don’t think it’s anything more than high Spring tides. But as sea level continues to rise they’ll get higher.

I took these back in the mid 1980's at the bridge over to Eel Pie Island.

They’ve called spring tides….. Nothing unusual. I lived in the area for 30yrs…

I didn’t say it was unusual. And I know what they’re called thanks.

What a lovely, low-carbon way to commute. We either change our ways or nature will do it for us.

Certain parts of the Thames has flooded for as long as I can remember, but there were "flood plains specially for that. Over the decades much building has been allowed which has meant flooding has been moved to different parts and instead of fields, it's homes that are flooded!

Sea levels aren’t rising … the Statue of Liberty being a case in point ffs

@Parrog3 It’s so desperately worrying. Man is truly the biggest problem on the plant, because of greed!

Quicker than getting there by train on match days!
